Tomorrow I gonna start to install my Plugwise kit.
I ask myself where is the best place to install the plugwise software.
I running HomeSeer on a small pc and have also a System with windows home server on it,also running 24/7.
I want also use the Plugwise plugin for HomeSeer.
What is the best setup for this?
All information is welcome.

It does not really matter, if they are both running 24/7 i would install it on the machine that has the most power to spare. Not that plugwise takes that much cpu or anything but it seems the logical way.

Do you see the stick in your Windows hardware device overview under the ports section?

Problem solved.
I deinstalled my bluetooth and then it worked.
Now add all the plugs and then installed the bluetooth again.

May I ask why you have two systems running, one for homeseer and one for WHS. Is there a specific reason for it because I have homeseer running on my WHS, so on one system. I was just wondering..

Because I want not put too much load on the HS pc.
On the WHS I have also installed my Modem with the YACSeer because I have only one slot in my HS PC wich I need for my 4 com ports.
And my 30.000 mp3's are on the WHS.
Also The WHS is backing up several PC's here in my house including the HS PC.

Same setup here, except that I have a third machine for VOIP and testing.
I never have to restart my WHS machine and thats a bit different with my HS box.

As I said I have them both running on my "WHS" server and almost never have to do a restart, sometimes for a update of WHS, I like it very much the way I have it now, it works perfect together for me. With the HS backup plugin I backup the various directories of my every night of the WHS.
My server is a dual core 1.6 GHZ with 2gb ram and runs lightly.
Sorry for poluting the topic with my side question.
