Hi,
I have a question about the RFXCOM in combination with the Logitech Harmony 895 remote control.
This remote control is capable of switching Z-wave devices.
Is the RFXCOM receiver also able to receive commands from this remote?
I'm using homeseer with the RFXCOM plugin and it would be nice to be able to trigger events in homeseer with the remote control...
Thanks in advance for any feedback.
Edwin

Z-Wave is not possible.
If the remote is able to transmit X10 or KAKU commands you can use these commands.

Hi Bert, I found out that with an IR receiver in between it's possible to give X10 commands.
Check the following pdf-file: http://www.elekhomica.nl/pdf/hamony-x10-zwave.pdf
If I understand correctly I can send IR signals who then will be translated in X10 formats by the IR 7243. In that case I can receive these signals via my PMIX35 in homeseer and connect to any event?
As I do not like so much the quality of Marmitek, can someone please suggest a good alternative?
Anyone already experience with the Harmony 895?

I have two harmony 895 remotes.
and have somewhere the IR7243
The IR7243 will make you system respond slow..
IR7243 +/- 1 second
sendback from PMIX35 1 second.
Better option is the Irtrans
This will directly covert any IR signal to any event.
other option for the IR7243 is the Xanura version IRX35

I agree with Chak. I use 3 IRtrans network modules, and all IR remotes I tested on them work like a charm. The IR receivers used have good range and the modules response is very fast (I use the modules to convert signals from my Harmony One to Homeseer events)

Thanks all for your answers.
How does IRtrans work, is there a direct connection with homeseer with a plugin?
