Calibration value not used?

Post by Tozz »

I'd like my RFXPower values to reflect the actual reading on the utilities power meter. This should be possible using the 'calibration value' if I'm right?

However, I've added 12933 there, but the device status in HomeSeer is still showing '43.98 kWh'. It should be 12933 + 43.98 = 12976.98

What am I doing wrong?

See the description at Calibration Value on page 18 http://www.rfxcom.com/documents/RFXCOM% ... 0Guide.pdf

multiply the value displayed on the utility meter with the Divide By value (probably 1000?)

Ah. Thanks. I've also found the Virtual Devices. So I've now added 'Instant Power Usage'. This device only updates once every few hours. Can this be set to update, lets say, every minute?

Virtual sensors are updated in the same frequency as the parent sensor. It has no use to update the virtual sensor at another rate.

I seemed to be having some weird issues that are now resolved. The problem was that my "current" values (Current Power Consumption and Current Gas Consumption) didn't update at all. Altering the calibration value didn't change anything in the 'total power consumption' either.

This all solved itself for reasons unknown to me :-)
