Danfoss Thermostat

Post by beatboxer05 »

Hello everyone,

I have the danfoss Thermostat and Homeseer 2. I don't know how I can control the thermostat with Homeseer.
What are the functions of the thermostat and how can I control him ?

With kind regards,

Hi all,

Having managed to install devices into HS I am now having problems connecting with the RA-Plus-w TRV. When I rescan the device I get the following:-
Querying node for it's capabilities... Please wait...
Finished (Error, could not complete synchronization process.)
In HS the device is installed as z-wave thermostat 4 (the RA-Plus is not a regular thermostat) possibly this may be the issue. I just want to control the setback function to make our 4 zoned heating system more efficient. I intend to fit the RA-Plus to16 of the 20 radiators in the house.

Any help would be much appreciated

When doing rescan you have to push 3 times on the moon/sun button on the thermostat

Hi Tane,

Getting there

I deleted the stat from HS, reset the Aeon labs z-stick and added the stat to HS again, I can now rescan the stat. I then shut down and restarted HS and now I can see the Stat, the battery and the climate control in the device list. I then added an event to operate the setback but I need to wake it up manually before this runs successfully. Really all I need to know now is how to wake it up in HS before the set time for setback.
Thanks
Dave

Hi There,
I have now managed to get the RA-Plus-w working in HS and realise that the unit cannot be awakened externally. So rather than setting up HS to switch the unit from comfort to setback throughout each day we have opted to pre program the unit internally with the set times we require and use HS to put the unit back to sleep when it awakens (we have set this to 1 hour) options are (Min 5min Max 1 hour), this I believe will save on battery power. Also we can use HS to advance the unit should we need to make adjustment during each day.

Many thanks for your help

When HS send a command to the Danfoss the command will be queued and transmit when Danfoss wakeup.
Wakuptime can be changed in the Danfoss via HS.
Shortest time is 6 minutes.
This means when the "ON" command is send it will take max 6 minutes before the Danfoss will responde.

In my config is the wakeup time in the living room 6 minutes and other areas 15 minutes.
Since other areas are time controlled and I know when to turn on.
