A small update regarding Plug-in development:
After visiting Carlo nearly 2 weeks ago and writing down a part of the protocol, i started with the HS Plug-in this week.

First i've made a tool that can act as a dummy base station by generating a 'random' data stream to feed the Plug-in.
That way i can feed the Plug-in with whatever i like, even malformed data that doesn't conform to protocol specs.

Today i've been working on the Plug-in itself. Unfortunately i had to reinstall HS again before i could start.
This time i chose HS PRO. The Plug-in is already active in HS; it initializes itself, opens a connection, reads data, but no devices etc. in HS yet.
That's what i'll be starting with next week.

Foundation of the Plugin nearly finished.
I created a software tool to mimic a Base Station and the data stream it will create.
I am using that to test the Plugin and used it to reach the point where i am now.

Looks great Robert,

Hardware part is a bit delay because of some changes in the hardware and availability of some components.
For Carlo there also some other challenges in the next months what will also cost lot of time.

The first samples of the hardware will be available begin march.

Positive part is that there will be some other hardware keys/devices available where we all are looking for and cant' find good solution...

I guess only suited for the DIY hackers who have their soldering iron on 24/7

Dear home-automation friends,
As some of you already may know, the RF-ID project has been delayed for several months.
The reason was very good News for my and my family, because we (finally) sold our house.
It also took a lot of time to find the house of our dreams, and yes, happily we did! :)
We spend many hours in all the needed paperwork for both selling and buying a house.
Therefore I didn't had much time to continue the project, my apologies for all who are waiting.
At the moment we are packing our furniture and stuff, so I am not able to continue the project for now.
Once we are settled in our new house, I will continue the RF-ID project.
The results so far are very nice and promising and I can't wait to continue working on it.
I will keep you informed about this project and also the project that will follow: automating our new home.
Best regards, Carlo
Esteban

No biggie, no need to feel like you owe it to any of us to finish this within a certain time-frame. Most of us can understand that this is something you do for fun on the side. And besides: better a long time waiting for something good, than getting something quickly that has been rushed

Good luck with your new home, that is great News. I'm sure you'll have plenty of fun planning THAT new domotica project!

Thanks, Esteban! and yes, I do this project for fun, but I would like to keep the promises I make.
So I can't give any time-frame now, but I will finish this project as soon as I have the time for it.

Still very busy refitting our new home (like placing a new kitchen...) and spending too much time and money like every one does after moving to a house of your dreams...
