One of the main problems with all these remote stuff is compatibility of the codes.
Is there anywhere a list of what different brands are compatible with each other?
I know e.g. the Byron, HomeEasy (UK) and CoCo (KaKu) are compatible, but not with HomeEasy (EU)...
Another question, directly related to codes: Are there any plans (or is it already possible) for the RFXcom to implement the codes for the Elro AB440 series (compatible with Profile in Belgium, very cheap in Makro)? The code is quite different than other codes, as the address bits may be on, off and floating. The latter may pose problems... The code is based on the Princeton technology PT2262/PT2272 chipset.

It is not yet planned to support the AB400 series or compatibles.

Thanks for the info, Bert...
Another question: have you information if the Chacon devices (sold in Belgium by Brico and other DIY shops) are compatible with the HomeEasy (EU) (sold in The Netherlands by Elro) or with the HomeEasy (UK) and others?

To control the Chacon devices with program buttons you have to use the AC codes (also used for KAKU and HE UK)
To control the Chacon devices with address wheels you have to use the ARC codes in the RFXCOM transmitter.

Hello,
The chipset in the elro looks the same as in the Flamingo Modules
PT2262/PT2272 chipset.
In the past the where supported by the RfxcomTransmitter.
In the plugin for Homeseer i see also the Flamingo is supported
Maybe Bert can confirm that the support is stil there.(or not)
Then you can try the elro moduul.
I have openend a defect Flamingo moduul the chipset is the same

Re: Compatibility of devices, Elro 440 series
Flamingo is supported by the RFXmitter.
It is possible that the floating (middle) positions of the DIP switches are not supported and only the 0 and 1 positions.

Can someone point me to the protocol specs for the ARC codes (Chacon with address wheel) ?b_weijenberg wrote:To control the Chacon devices with program buttons you have to use the AC codes (also used for KAKU and HE UK)
