Little by little I'm progressing on my domoticaproject.
Before exploring new territory I first want to finish all the things that I've ordered.
Most of my blind controls work now, except two at the front of my house. After installing the Merten Screen Inserts (580698) they seem to work well. However after 2 minutes the screens come down by themselves. When I push the button to get them open again, after another two minutes the screens automatically close. When I repeat that another time, the screen doesn't move anymore and I have to get the power off to reset it.
The problem I think could be related to two things:
1. I only have this problem where multiple screens are controlled by one controller; in the user manual it is written that 'one insert can control one conventional motor with a limit position switch or several motors with integrated isolating relay up to max. 1000W'. Could this be related to the problem?
2. In the manual a term is mentioned that could be related to my problem, namely 'Blind time switch'; where the standard value is 2 minutes; exactly the time when my screen comes down automatically...
Anybody any idea what could cause my problem and what I could do to solve this?
Thanks,
ABL
Problem with Standard Blind Control Merten
Re: Problem with Standard Blind Control Merten
Today I received an answer from a person working with Merten. He advised to use a 'multiple control relais insert ' (merten 576399 or 576398). As there is quite a price difference between the two, what would be your advise to buy (the 576399 or the 576398). I need these items to control a serie of 3 motors and a serie of 2 motors. Furthermore I would like to know whether this is easy to do it yourself or that I should contact the technicians of the screen installation company?
Re: Problem with Standard Blind Control Merten
I had contact with my screen installation company and they are willing to help me out. Now I have to get some relais. The only problem is that I don't know the difference between the Merten 576399 or 576398 relais. Does someone has an idea which relais I should I buy (or what the difference is between these two)?

Re: Problem with Standard Blind Control Merten
have a look at http://www.merten.de/download/DL_doku/P576398_GB.pdf and http://www.merten.de/download/DL_doku/P576399_GB.pdf Later I also found this one:

You will find that the 98 has a more automatic and seperate control (seperate switching control wires) and has connection blocks with screws for connection all wires. This version is meant for multiple rollers which could be disturbing each other when directly connected together.
The 99 however is a more simple relay and has the wires soldered on the PCB of the unit. When you have 1 unit per controller there is no need for the 98 ( as I understand from the sheets above.

Re: Problem with Standard Blind Control Merten
Thanks Maarten for your quick reply. So if I understand you correctly (I'm a total electric noob) that if I want to control 2 screens I can do with one 99. But when I want to control 3 screens with one Merten switch do I then need the 98 and 99 or two times the 99 or two times the 98?

Re: Problem with Standard Blind Control Merten
If I read it corectly you are able to control 2 motors with 1 x the 98 and with some additional push buttons for local control you can also controll them manually. The master control can then be controlled by Homeseer with another device that will just give you 220V for an UP or DOWN signal.

Re: Problem with Standard Blind Control Merten
Ok thanks, so 1 times the 98 for the two screen control.
But what about the 3 screen controller, is it enough to have 2 times the 98 relais for that?

Re: Problem with Standard Blind Control Merten
Each 98 is capable of switching 2 motors, so when you use the same wires to control both 98's, you will be able to up/down 4 motors.
