Cant see my wlan rfx...

Hi. I'm new here - hello

Just got my wlan rfxcom 2 com receiver + rfxmitter , but I cannot see it from my pc.

In device installer I see no devices.
If I do a wireless network scan I do not see it either.

I'm sorry if I'm missing the obvious but what am I doing wrong?

Have you configured your WLAN settings in the RFX module either via LAN or the serial port (adaptor to be ordered seperatly)

Please contact support rfxcom.com for these kind of questions.

I suppose it is a LAN-WLAN interface. In that case the interface is default set to LAN.

Marc, thanks for the idea, but do I really need to buy something else to be able to use this brand new receiver? Is it meant for something else besides connecting to a computer? Seems a bit strange but I shall check.

Bert (I believe), thanks for that useful comment - I shall talk to rfxcom. Just thought that on this forum people who have a wealth of knowledge of this thing might be able to help me - especially as I think I am overlooking something obvious. And no, it is a wlan only - no separate lan.
