Events and timers

Post by hhg »

Hi Ron and other users of DomotiGa

A common HA scenario is that an event (wall switch, PIR etc) switch on some lamps, and after x minutes they switch off.
The first part is easely configured. The second part (switch off after x minutes) could be handled by a timed event. So was is lacking is an action to update the Time Trigger to now + x minutes executed on the first event.

Does this make sense? Or have you solved this case with other means? Or have I missed some functionality in DomotiGa?

If you agree, I will try to implement this action.

Best regards

Geert-Jan has implemented some kind of timer functionality (5 timers) for events, it didn't made it to the svn repos yet.

Wil try to see if I can merge it, it uses a virtual timer device, but maybe it can be done with build-in timers too.
Regards, Ron.
