Sensors in Homeseer

Post by labtec »

What sensors are the best to use in Homeseer, I have a RFXcom USB receiver including a Visonic module. I am
now using a DS10 X10 doorsensor but sometimes I have some problems with receiving the signal. A other option is to use
Zwave senors. So what sensors have the best signal?

- Visonic
- X10
- Zwave

Thanks for your advise/reply.

All will work fine.
reliability:
X10 > 90%
Visonic > 99% (Rfxcom) (Powermax 99,9%)
Zwave > 99,5%

Visonic and zwave are more reliable
Zwave will also work when your Homeseer is down when associated to a device.

For reliability of zwave you need more device that support routing

X10 sensors will also work when associated with devices and the software is down
Agree that 433 mhz x10 sensors are less reliable
