RFXCOM Setup

Post by laserchris »

Hi there, I am having some issues with getting my RFXCOM setup to work every time.

I have 2 receivers in one box and a tranmitter in another box. I have both boxes connected by a handshake cable.

Problem I have is that both the receivers dont always work at the same time. If i reboot the pc I have it all connected too I have to reboot a few times or connect and disconnect the receivers to get them both to work. Only one receiver seems to work at a time , then eventually they will both work.

Anyone having anything similar.?

Unknown problem to me.

which program is used when a receiver doesn't operate?

Please post the data (cut&paste) from the RFreceiver screen of these steps?
- start RFreceiver and click Variable Length mode
- click Get receiver version

Did the problem occur after some handlings you did?

The USB cable of the transmitter is connected?

Try also with the handshake cable disconnected from the transmitter and connect the top and middle pin of the jack plug. Then click Get receiver version.

Hi there, yes the transmitter is connected and working fine.

Try also with the handshake cable disconnected from the transmitter and connect the top and middle pin of the jack plug

So I leave the handshake cable plugged into the receiver ? And then connect the top and middle pin of the jack plug of the end that would have been plugged into the transmitter?

Cheers
