ati remote usb rf receiver
ati remote usb rf receiver
Anyone here know if its possible to use the ATI Remote Wonder USB receiver dongle, as a general purpose RF receiver? By that I mean, not just as a remote control, but to receive any type of RF protocols (oregon scientific, nexa, etc...).
Re: ati remote usb rf receiver
Gosh, very strange.
Re: ati remote usb rf receiver
yes its possible!
Open the dongle, remove the existing circuit from the USB connector and mount an RFXcom circuit.
Try to close the donge with care, recieving Nexus and Oregon is possible then

That's clever, real clever. I guess I know why this software has more bugs than an ant pile.
It's Nexa, not Nexus.

I am also eager to know, if it is possible with USB receiver Dongle!

A 433.92MHz can receive RF signals at 433.92MHz.
But the controller in the receiver is dedicated programmed for a protocol and only protocols listed can be received.
So if you have an ATI receiver it will only receive ATI commands of the ATI Remote Wonder or Remote Wonder II depending on the type you have.
The RFXCOM 433.92MHz receiver is programmed to receive lots of protocols.
See the list at http://www.rfxcom.com/receivers.htm#10103
