Starting with domotica can be a very difficult proces i think. Ok this is my story. After a small pilot with a Marmitek starters kit (LM12's, LM15 ,CM11, TM13 and remote) , reading a lot in this forum and visiting the presentation of Chak, i am that enthousiastic that i went to the next fase. To replace a double dimmer I bought two Xanura DAX10 and a DIX2. After some hard programming and making a proof situation (proef opstelling) for preparation purpose , i went to the implementing fase. I replace the switch and add the DAX10 to the two lamps. It works with both the DIX2 and remote control. But now spontanischly the two lamps after the DAX10 goes on and out. I see no repetation. I already did install homeseer but i cannot see any X10 messages in the log files. I also see no X10 messages in homeseer after switching the DIX2. If i try to detect the status of the DAX10 in homeseer i didn't get a response.
For the time being i add a homeseer event that turn the two lamps off after every 1 minute form 23:00 until sunrise.
I have some questions:
- is it possible that the CM11 doesn't detect X-10 compatible A-10 signals so also homeseer didn't see it?
- can someone give some troubleshooting hints? Is it maybe a bad DIX2? Trouble shooting is difficult if homeseer see no A10 signals. (meten is weten)
Thanks

Hi
X10 is exact like A10, I have been using A10 for years. CM11, CTX35 etc are all compatible regarding X10 commands.
Did you try a different housecode instead of A
Your prior test setting seems to be working!

Hi I didn't use another housecode. I will try this tonight. Can you confirm that i must see the switching of the DIX2 in the logs of Homeseer with the CM11?

Yes the Xanura DIX2 should pop in the log Homeseer. If you added a device with the same housecode Homeseer should give the status and you are able to control it from within Homeseer.
You control actors with the DIX2 for the actual switching?
DIX2
Dimmer interface to be mounted behind 2 level toggle pulse switches. Suitable for the control of actuators via ON/OFF and DIM commands.
Technical data
Supply voltage 230 V 50 Hz
Functions
Inputs suitable for potential-free switches <+5 Volt relative to zero.
Sends ON, OFF and DIM commands.
Four inputs for independent command transmission.
Two incomming wires per adress: 1 for on/bright and 1 for off/dim.
One user-definable address A1P16 with one fixed consecutive address.

I do not understand why the DIX2 needs to add as an device. I see it the same as a remotecontrol with eg a TM13. It sends X-10 commands on the net and that commands will be detected bij de computerinterface and e.g. a device DAX10. To know the status the DAX10 is requested and not the DIX2. An other (kronkel in mijn gedachte) is that the DIX2 has an adress eg D4 and the DAX10 also. Then it is for Homeseer difficult if both the DIX2 as the DAX10 are added as an device with the same adress?? (or are these questions beginner questions [:)] )
I use the DIX2 with a Jung 531-4U. And that works great (also with dim) and yes i use that for actual swithing both DAX10 which all are on the same electrical group.
In the meanwhile i switched the housecodes and i have to wait to see if the problem is gone.

OK I'm a bit rusty on the Homeseer part, because I'm not using it anymore. The actual actor has the same address so it switches automatic once the DIX2 sends it command. The bottomline is that you added a device in homeseer with that house- and devciecode. So you should be able to see the command coming in homeseer statuslist and log. If the Device was on A there is a small chance you are receiving powerline commands from outside your house. Lets see!

I now changed all Xanura modules to none A housecode. I also got a tip to disconnect the CM11 and remove the batteries for a minute.
Now i have to wait if the problem is solved.
Polling the devices doesn't work yet. I still got a (no response) message.

That is strange, you need to be able to poll the device and get the status of it!
Can you set it On and Off with homeseer, so the device is reachable without any problem?
If the answer is yes then look in to the program options (functions) of the module which can be set on or off.

I can control the modules from Homeseer.

I moved everything from the default housecode A and reset the CM11 (unplug and remove batteries for short time). This solved the problem. Thanx everybody for the help.
