Rfxcom Elro support
As far as I can find in the documentation the Rfxcom transceiver supports the elro AB600 series.
At this moment I am using quit a lot of elro switches in my house from the 440 series. Can anyone
tell me if the Rfxcom transceiver supports these switches? If not, is there any way to implement these
switches in the rfxcom code? I would like to continue using these switches when buying a rfxcom lan transceiver.
Regards,
Peter

Re: Rfxcom Elro support
try this with using a Flamingo device (is an AB400D).
If that does not operate please contact support.

Re: Rfxcom Elro support
I would like to know if it works before I order a rfxcom lan tranceiver. As I said in my previous post I don't own a rfxcom at this moment, so I can't test this myself.
Regards

@psmaaswinkel
For your information, I just succeeded connecting an Elro AB440WD device (outdoor use swhich on off device) through Domotiga with my RFXcom LAN transceiver.
I had to use x10 ARC With the address in the format B15. Should be possible through RFXcom Lan tranceiver as well.

Hi mrqnapper,
Can you please tell me what system-code/unit-code you used on the Elro device? I've tried connecting to an AB400SA (basically the same device for indoor use?) with a RFXCom Lan tranceiver without success.

Hi, sorry for a late response did not see your reply until today. Now I do not know what you mean with system-code/ unit-code but I can tell you how I got it working.
If you have a remote for the Elro device than make sure it's working with the device. Now you can click it on / and off with the remote.
Now go to the Log and choose debug.
Click your remote for the Elro device choose either on or off.
Look at the log-file and you will see your Elro device mentioned there. Now notate the address shown from the device.
next create a new device, with device (aparaat) KAKU Par 1000
Appliance Module ARC
RFXcom transmitter
X10 Adres the one you have from the logfile (for me it was B15)
Now save as new and go into the remote tab and try switching on your elro device.
Should work now.

Re: Rfxcom Elro support
Extra info: This is within Domotiga. RFXCom has its own software to see the packet information.

Re: Rfxcom Elro support
Thanks to Bert there is now support for the ELRO 440 series within the RFXcom plugin for Homeseer.
The plugin 14.0.0.84 is within the Updater including the modified RFXCOM User Guide.pdf (see chapter 11.3.1 for a description of the switches)
The elro 440 switches are for sale by Action on a regular interval... (€10 euro per set of 3 switches
)
I also asked Bert to implement the code for the flamingo switches, but this isn't possible at the moment. They will have a look at implementing these switches when there will be a new RFXcom version.

Re: Rfxcom Elro support
I still can't figure it out: I have also 2 waterresistant ELRO switches (AB440WD). Codes are setup by dipswitches.
Remote is AB440R.
My current setup is as follows:
Switch 1-10 (on=upward=1): 11011 00100
Remote 1-5 (on=upward=1): 11011
When I press button C (Third button on remote) the switch reacts.
I also see 'X10 received E7 on' in the homeseer log. So the RFXcom tranceiver is recognizing the signal right.
(Note: Switch A on the remote is E13 but Flamengo is not going above 10 in RFXcom plugin.
Having seen the information above I tried Flamengo E7 and ARC E7 in Homeseer but I still cannot control the Elro switch.
Flamengo is activated in the receiver.
Any tips? I would like to be able to switch the Xmas lights in the yard this winter...

Re: Rfxcom Elro support
Jeroen,
I suppose you have installed plug-in version 14.0.0.83?
Did you read the RFXCOM User Guide.pdf chapter 11.3.1 for a description of the switch settings in the AB440?

Re: Rfxcom Elro support
Thanx Bert,
I thought I had the latest RFXcom update but I didn't.
It works, I can control the switches in Homeseer. I now use housecode E (0100#).
But when I put the dipswitches in the Elro remote (AB440R) on the same housecode the log shows housecode N...
The switch is reacting on the remote but in Homeseer some other device (with housecode N) is set to 'on' too.
Strangely enough is doesn't matter if I press On or Off on the remote the log always shows N# on.
So E (0100) on the remote shows N (1101) in the log.
Test: B (0001) shows H (0111) in the log.
So the bits are inverted and read backwards...
Test: D (0011) shows D in the log which is right because inverted and read backwards it is the same

Re: Rfxcom Elro support
The receiver does not support AB400. The AB400 devices are supported by the transmitter.
