Real-time online websites
Hi Guys,
I'm in the process of creating my own automated house - i'm starting with energy usage.
You can check it out here: http://86.128.48.155/ <- Its all realtime to the minute!
You can go back in time and see every minutes usage throughout the year (although i've only recorded a couple of months so far!)
Im using a tecnique of recording the electricity usage from yourself bwired - using a simple LDR and a counter and reading the counts into a MySQL database ever minute, so far has about 100,000+ records [:p]
BTW: Click the Graph's bars to travel through time [:)]

The "air purity" needs some calibration (as indeed does "gamma-ray")

Re: Real-time online websites
You've got your own darkroom?

Re: Real-time online websites
I'm still very much starting at this although it may be a while before I attempt to do more.
There is a live text view of what I have done so far at http://pip.dulyn.co.uk/hometest
It needs a browser that supports websockets. I know the current versions of Google Chrome (Linux and Windows) and Firefox (Linux) work.

Re: Real-time online websites
I've made some updates to my live page. When events occur, it now highlights the table rows for the devices/scripts that are affected for a couple of seconds. I think it makes it easier to see what's happening in real time.
Re: Real-time online websites
I've spent the last few weeks reading about Smart Meters and stuff...
There are a lot of solutions to choose from. Got the components and finally got something online.
See it at: http://home.roelfloor.nl and read about it at (in dutch, though): http://www.roelfloor.nl
