Hi,
There is a new gateway for sale manufactured by There Corporation.
It's availible in 2 models, TG800Z and TG800ZG.
TG800ZG has a built in 3G modem.

It is sold only in bundle with some other devices.

Hi.
I have done some testing on the Theregate.

- it works fine as a Wi-fi router for 3G, i have it now connected behind my Adsl router and that also works
- it is possible to access it localy without the "remote access".

- Adding Z-wave devices works fine, almost "plug and play".

- The user interface is much more adapted to suit the average user than eg. mios.

-You can create tasks for different products, make groups of controlable devices and also have a switch as master for others, but advanced scenes are not supported yet.

-there is no possibility to change parameters directly for devices at this moment, but is has been mentioned that it might be possible in the near future.
The most common parameters is changeble in a userfrendly way, instead of working with parameters you can enter the value or state directly.

-not possible to add a secondary controller to it, but they are working on it.

Hi,
The Theregate has been developed to be used by a average consumer without any advanced computer skills.
That's why the interface is made simple and easy to use.

We all here understand that software developers allways must deal with some compromise about simple UI (GUI)/Features.
But people are not stupid so just "cut off" possibilities for more advanced controll are not way to goo.
Anyway, so long you have this gateway in your hand, just let us know test resultats with this Z-Wave hardware:

1. Room thermostat (Horstmann or Danfoss)
2. Radiator thermostat (Danfoss living connect)
3. ST814 Everspring Temp./Hum. sensor
4. Everspring Smoke detector
5. Merten CONNECT battery powered wall transmitters
6. Power Meter Units from Aeon Labs or NorhtQ
7. Another battery powered devices (FortrezZ, Duewi)

Hi,

1. Room thermostats are reported not to work yet.
2. Danfoss living connect is fully supported and i have tested it and it works.
3. ST814 works.
4. Smokedetektor is not supported yet.
5. batterycontrollers is not working now, they say that they should be supported around February.
6. Northq powermeter works.
7.Of other battery devices are atleast Aeon door/window sensor, Everspring motiondetektor working.

If a product is using the same command classes as something that is tested to work it should be working.

I can provide a list of products that they have tested to work for anyone that are interested, i am ufortionally not allowed to publish it on the net.
just mail me at: shop@smarthome.fi

Merry Christmas!!!
