What type of switch?

Post by Noel »

Okay.. Some more day's and I'll be moving in to the new house :-)
All I need to order now are the switches.

The big question now is, can it be any type of switch (on/off), or does it need to be somekind of "puls" switch? (it's for the SAIX12)
If a 'normal' switch can be used, and when the switch is set to on the normal way, how will the SAIX12 be able to turn it of? (the swithc will still be set to on!)

The switches I'm looking at, are from Mertens.

One more thing.. I also have a lot of DAIX12 units. What kind of on/off swtich do I need for this?

For the SAIX12 you can use the normal on/off switches or the Puls version.
For the DAIX12 you need the Puls version.
The Jung Version (don't know the Mertens version)

Lets say I switch the light on by hand (flick the switch up), and turn the same light of with use of the SAIX12 (by remote), the switch will still be set to on and facing up (making a connection), now how can I turn the light on again by hand?
When I flick the switch down it will break the connection, and making it unable to turn the light on.. Or does the SAIX12 take care of this with some kind of flick/flack (whatever you call it) technique?

SAIX12 will know the status and will toggle the status when using the switch.
