Hi,
Today i orderd a sony xperia P phone with NFC.
With this option you can start some commands by phone.
My question is, did someone over here implented the NFC system with domotica?
Domotica vs NFC (RFID tags)
Re: Domotica vs NFC (RFID tags)
Personally, I believe that the other 'new' RF technology on the new generation of smartphones will be more relevant for home automation.
It's Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy ('BLE'). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluetooth_low_energy.
NFC has a max transmission distance of 6 cm, while Bluetooth BLE can go up to 50m or so. That in of itself would make it i.m.h.o. more suitable/practical for home automation.
Plus, I think the experienced Home Automation techies will be able to develop their own applications much easier with Bluetooth BLE.
Some inspirational examples of what is possible with Bluetooth 4.0 BLE:

Just my two cents worth
Cheers,
