Just for info, if one pays monthly fees to SIDN , you can register domains for 0.25 cent per half year or so (.nl domains if i'am still correct) but to make break even you need at least 30 well payed domains :) but in the end its pretty cheap. I only register the domain, i do hosting myself.

Since few days i have a domain at Bluehost.

I found out that the connection to my new domain is very slow...

this is the message i got from them
I see at that at one hop you got over 1000ms
120 | 1078 | 1078 || p6-0-0.rar2.chicago-il.us.xo.net - 3 | 42 | 41 | 109 |

This is extremely high and will cause lag. If you do more trace routes during your slow times you will see this probably go higher as well. This means that the route your ISP is giving you to our servers is slower your connection time down to our servers and causing your site to load slower

I think they have bad connection to the European ISP's

I hope they have money back guaranties..most of the time i can't access my domain or upload any file.

Dont forget, most big ISP have connections for seperate transit. Small isp/hosters only have amsix connection (the netherlands hub of internet exchange, so without internet itself) and then they have a provider on the amsix which provides for uplinks to outside internet or to other amsix similar hubs (germany/belgium/etc) same goes for intercontinental connections. Then you also have peers, some isp's allow other isp's to connect to eachother without going over the internet (via amsix then) so that traffic is fast and does not costs much either. See http://www.tweakdsl.nl/?page=support/network for instance it says:

20G + 1G AMS-IX
10G NL-IX/OpenPeering/NextFeed
2G Transit

So for transatlantic only the "transit" is used, which is not always up to speed for isp's. There are a lot of factors one could take into account, but i think i'am allready crossing the border of "say what?!?" here.

I can live with that when the connection is okay.

I can't upload any file connection is dropping all the time.
If I have luck i can upload some small files.
They are offering 1,5 TB of disk storage what you can't use...:(
