When i compare my first linux testdrive on a 486DX50 back in the early 90's with what you get nowadays when you install a mainstream distro, i actually get the same feeling about linux...so i would take this with a grain of salt.
If i had the time, i would lookup some of the Gartner statements from back then, and see what has turned out of those...
