Toon looks Empty?
I have recently bought an Eneco Toon. Just put the Toon to the network and 2 lines to the boiler adapter, which is not yet installed. Power on it and I'll see Eneco Toon, after a few seconds, faded and then Eneco will show nothing but the lights will remain on, but nothing on the screen. According to my router, the Toon is on 192.168.178.69 (I have many devices on my network) so on my browser I open with 192.168.178.69 and then I see on my bar http://192.168.178.69/HCBv2/www/ and on browser text field State: 404 not found. Would the files have been deleted?

Can you try this: http://IPnumber/happ_thermstat?action=getThermostatInfo this will show you some text files.

Re: Toon looks Empty?
Looks like something missing indeed.
Try to do the hack, get into the console and from there try to find out wat is missing. Maybe a software update from there could be possible. But first thing, open it, root it and get into the console.

It is: "ping ping.quby.nl" (without the " ofcourse), so don't put the eneco-001-etc in front

But try to run these commands:
opkg update
opkg upgrade
Hopefully that will upgrade and restore your normal toon.

Re: Toon looks Empty?
Also, run a "ps" command (without the ") and paste the results here so I can compare your output with mine and hopefully discover what is missing.

Sounds like your toon boots the kernel, and then fails to start up the user interface.
Can you post /etc/inittab and the firmware version?

nope there is an empty screen. So i could not see any information about the software version.
I also tried opkg update then i got:

But thats about 5 minutes ago and i just got

If you can run a shell, you should at least be able to produce the output of
and show the contents of /etc/inittab:
and post it.
Probably there's quite some stuff missing/not working on your toon, since signature checks do not work.
Oh by the way, your FW version is probably 3.5.4 (the last before 3.6.3, which fails to install now).
