Toon slow response to get out of standby mode
Hi all,
My Toon 1 responses very slow to a tick on the screen when it's on standby mode. I need to wait about 5 seconds after ticking the screen of the Toon in Standby mode before it woke up (and I can do a basic thing like highering or lowering the temperature. Once it woke up I have no issues in delay anymore. Delay only occurs when I want to get the Toon out of Standby mode.
I experience this for months already on different software versions. Currently I have my Toon rooted but I had the problem for several months before rooting already.
Anyone recognises this issue and knows a solution?

I recognize and don't have a solution. The current firmware is too big for the toon1. Eventually there is no reason to update toon1 anymore because it only makes it slower.
I think firmware 5.0.6 was good enough for the toon1. They should have stopped updating the toon1 from there.

I have the same issue. Amazingly slow response. Would it help to remove apps or does that not influence the speed of the Toon 1?
Re: Toon slow response to get out of standby mode
it does help to free up RAM memory and improve responsiveness. But don't expect miracles, the latest firmwares are a bit heavy for Toon 1.
Via the TSC menu in the settings screen you can at least disable standard system apps which you cannot use on a rooted Toon anyway.
From the ToonStore just install the apps you really want.
Not much more you can do.

Thanks for the swift reply. I did all that and it does indeed not change much. Too bad the firmware is so heavy. Hopefully future updates will be less heavy... but guessing they will just get heavier.

Re: Toon slow response to get out of standby mode
I advise the following, some already mentioned by Toonz:
1. Instellingen > TSC > Subscription Features > Turn all off except when needed
2. ToonStore > Remove all apps you don't actively use
3. Factory Reset > Carefull! You will lose your "verbruikshistorie". Heard from a few people that this helps a bit (no "verbruikshistorie" to be loaded).

The last step is pointless. The energy databases have a constant length and are loaded whether or not there are data in them.

That's only what i've heard from others, not tested myself.marcelr wrote:The last step is pointless. The energy databases have a constant length and are loaded whether or not there are data in them.

All those tips are useless
The toon1 from dimm to working (and back also) is just freaking slow since the last couple of firmwares. Also not rooted.
I think quby made a bug somewhere and as they are probably not testing toon1 anymore they don't know this.
