I'm sure this has been asked before, but I couldn't find it on the forum: Is it possible to increase the polling frequency for gas usage? Or is this a limitation of how the P1 hardware works? The gas data seems to come in at 1 hour intervals, while the electricity data comes in at much lower intervals.
I'd like to make a sensor that monitors gas usage for hot tap water only.

Might be your meter. When I look at Home Assistant I'm getting an update every 5 minutes from my gas sensor. Power updates are coming in every 10 - 20 seconds.

Re: Polling frequency of gas usage
Since the gas meter is wireless connected to the p1 electrical meter is uses some battery. When the polling interval is short it will drain the battery.

That makes a lot of sense oepi-loepi and for sure the gas distribution company is avoiding the cost of exchanging those batteries. I found a user manual of the gas meter: Landis+Gyr G350. It says the gas meter sends the usage information once an hour, so it must be fixed.
Thanks for sharing your experience yjb. Your gas meter must be a more fancy type.
