Plugwise Homeseer Plugin

Post by Rene »

The Plugwise Source only polls each circle once every 2 minutes. So it could take 2 minutes before a changed in usage is reported. This is something within the Source software and has nothing to do with the plugin. The 2.01W is the standby usage of your LCD. Mine is using less than 1W when in standby.

It's more then 10 minutes and it still says 211,4 Watt.
The logging changed already but the graph is still the same.

The chart says 2,01 Watt when i restart the browser????

The 2,01 Watt is the usage when the TV is off. It's 0 Watt when i pull the plug out.

@aeh: There are several intervals. The interval of polling each circle by the Source software. This is two minutes and can not be configured. The interval the plugin polls the Source. This is configurable in the configuration of the plugin. The refresh interval of the chart, which is 10 minutes. You can change this interval by editing the actual.aspx file. Change 10000 to something else (in milliseconds).

When you restart the browser the graphs are drawn using the current value of the device within Homeseer, aka the value known to the plugin.

I can only find this value in the charts.aspx.
Do i have to edit the charts.aspx?

You are right, the value is in charts.aspx. It does not make sense to make the interval here less than the refresh interval specified in the plugin configuration because the charts are drawn based on the values retrieved by the plugin.

First the famous question: What did you change?

Are you sure the hostname, as configured in the plugin, does not contain any whitespaces?

Plugwise Homeseer Plugin

Hello all,

I installed Homeseer pro this afternoon and also the plugin for plugwise.
I read this topic several times, but I got an error in the my mdb file.

It is saying:
18:36:27 Plugwise ERROR: Cannot query http://localhost:8080/statistics.xml : Unable to connect to the remote server.

I saw in this topic that there were several people with a same sort of problem. What can/most I do to solve this problem?

You have to install the statistics.xml file that is part of the plugin package in the root of your plugwise webserver (not your homeseerv installation directory).

This looks OK. Did you start the Plugwise webserver? Can you connect to the plugwise webserver via your browser?

Hello Rene,

What do you mean by starting the Plugwise webserver.
Perhaps that Plugwise is started first and after that HS. That s the way I do it.
And then I see that message from HS continuous in the log file.
