During the day you can solarpump some water in a big tank on your roof and let it down at night to generate the power for your LED lightning. Is this green. No lead battery. And if its raining you can always put your wife on the bicycle to pump the water up. Raining gives you free water in your tank if it is open so extra free energy. When the extra water is down you can always flush your toilet with it.

To me and many other readers from Europe, snelvuur's post was clearly seen as a joke, but I can understand that some people (like Led-lighting from China) sees this as an offense!

i think that i need to learn more about euro culture.Let's go back to the topic! One of my customer tell me that in few years, europe will change most of the street lamps(i mean besie the highway) into LED street lamps, I do not know it is true or not.I just attend the Guangzhou Lighting+building Fair this month 8th~11 this month.I see a lot of chinese facories are starting to make or develop LED Street lamps. When I ask their main market, most of them say it is europe, very few say USA.Is that the trend in Europe? Is there anybody can confirm that or give me some example? Here in China, just several cities use LED street lamps for road lighting.

Hi Bruce, in France, for the shops signs, fluorescent lights are more and more replaced by LEDs. But for public lights (cities and highways) , I never heard about LEDs replacement for the near future. We use nuclear power at 80%. I think it explain the raison why.
