Rooted Toon and analogue meter / solar panels

Hello guys,

I.m using an rooted Toon (v1) in combination with an analogue meter. (Disc; dutch: draaischijf

My solarpanels are doing well, but what i.m wondering:

The analogue meter (optical measering via the Toon device) says i.m using lots of kw.s, but for real the meter is turning backwards.

Isn.t it possible to adjust the Toon so it wil show an extra logo or something? It would be great to see that the meter shows the actual kw.s.

Now the meter always thinks i am using power, but for real the meter is turning backwards (left) in stead of forwards (right).

No it can't. How would a simpel analog device would know if the thing is rotating backwards?

It won't, it only 'sees' when the mark passes.
Only solution is to replace your old meter with the smart one. You can always ask when replacement is scheduled or else you have to ask for earlier replacement and pay the costs for it when you want the actual usage on your Toon.

Okay, thanks! I refused the smart meter because of the solarpanels, i will keep looking at the anlog turning backwards then

You can also use an extra meteradapter to measure the solar panel production.

No for zon op toon to work properly you MUST use a smart meter (P1 port connected). Yes, you can use a 2nd meteradapter for zonoptoon but the first one must be a P1 connected adapter and not an analog.

True, forgot about that. In that case, just call your grid operator and ask when you'll get your smart meter.
