Opentherm Gateway has been installed to monitor Honeywell Touch Modulation and an ATAG i36EC boiler because the house is not comfortably warm.
I observe some "strange behaviour". I thought that opentherm sends the control setpoint e.g. 60 C and that the boiler is supposed to use its capabilities to keep the boiler water on that temperature.
Most of the time however, the ATAG boiler seems to ignore the control setpoint and regulates on some "intelligently" self calculated value.
This "advanced intellect" results in a speed of warming up my house of 0,2 degree in 2 hours ....
So as this forum has extensive knowledge on opentherm, maybe you can help me out. Is the basic premise of opentherm compatibility that the boiler should regulate its boiler water at the control setpoint received form the thermostat ?
If not, what is used to control the heat production of the boiler and the distribution (pump pressure rate) ?
Thanks !

There are other messages that also influence the behavior of the boiler. Most notably MsgID 14, Maximum relative modulation level setting. But because you didn't provide a log, I would have to guess what is going on.
