PMIX35 / programming modules

I'm a new Xanura owner, so it might just be me but I have problems with the PMIX35.

I have a test setup consisting of a DAIX12 connected to a lamp and two switches (because I don't have a double switch yet). With the tow switches I can turn the lamp on/off. Dimming also works fine. So this seems to work fine.

The PMIX35 is connected to a PC. The software can see the PMIX35.

However, if I turn on the lamp the PC does not show this in the log file. Also when I try to turn on/off the lamp with the PC this does not work.

The PMIX35 is connected to the same extension cord as the lamp. I have tried both with or without a FM10 plugin filter on the extension cord. Except for a lower "netwerk impedantie" in the Xanura software this did not work.

I tried to program the module with the software (putting the module in programming mode by pushing the program switch for 3 seconds); this did not work.

According to the logfile there are "suspicious echo"'s on the line, but I don't know what that means:

Code: Select all

I also tried with a SAIX12 but that module is also not seen by the PMIX35.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong or what could be the problem?

Maybe your wire is too short, meaning your signal is too strong?
Did you try lowering the Voltage setting? Tried it on a long distance between de PMIX35 and the units?

I didn't try a lower voltage setting before, but I did just now. It doesn't make a difference. I haven't tried a longer distance, but I need it to work on a 'short' distance anyway (although not as short as the lamp-wire). The lower voltage setting also doesn't work for the receiving of command's from the module, IOW I still don't see those either. I tried every half volt or so; I also tried a bit with the 60 and 120 degrees setting, but that doesn't help either.

PMIX35 / programming modules

I tried again today but this time on a very long extension cord to a different wall outlet. This works better. Perhaps the computer is generating to much interference? I'l have to test some more, because it is a bit annoying to have an extension cord through the entire house.
