Getting started

Post by xanhoera »

I'm lurking around for about 6 months already, but I must admit it has been a while lately. Finally I'm planning to get started with some simple Xanura stuff, but I can not seem to find what device/cable I need to program my own A10 or X10 signals on my Windows machine and send them through USB to the powerline. Can you guys give any tips (for preferably not too expensive solutions)?

I'm actually hoping to get a simple AIX (on/off) module, not sure where I can find it yet. I'm not planning to buy a filter yet.

Hopefully you guys can help me on the way.

Hi, to get started take a look http://www.domoticalinks.nl, there is section with domotica shops.
I have some good experience with http://www.intellihome.be and http://www.elekhomica.nl.
You can think about getting a so called "starterkit" , they contain a computer interface (with software) and on/off or dim modules.

Let's hope this is enough info to get you started.

Thanks for the links.
I think I'm going to start with the CM11 - USB - computerinterface.
I'm sure I'll come up with more difficult questions later on :).
