I've been at it for some time now, but how the f**k do you get the PowerMax PRO to see the NEXT MCW.

I'm sure that it's in the manual(s), but I must be missing it every time when I read it.

Take it out of its housing, stand next to your panel and follow the normal procedure for "zender inleren"
Dutch manual page 3: http://www.visonic.com/VisonicHomePage. ... _Guide.pdf

During the process you have to use the 'sabotage' switch to give a signal to the PowerMax so it can be recognized.

Hi zebrafilm.

Thank you for the info. However I'm still having the same problem.

The following info is in Dutch as the manual is in Dutch.<blockquote id="quote"><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id="quote">quote:<hr height="1" noshade id="quote">A. Voer de installateurcode in.
In het venster verschijnt "1. Instal. Code".

B. Druk op de <volgende> toets. Het volgende verschijnt in het venster "2. Zender inleren"

C. Druk op de <OK> toets voor de keuze van het "Draadloze detectoren" menu. Tot in het venster verschijnt: "LEER ZENDER IN"<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></font id="quote"></blockquote id="quote">My problem is that this is not the same as in my system.
It does not show the "LEER ZENDER IN" option!

The options that I get after step 2 are:

inleren type
inleren sensor
leer keyfob in
leer ext kp in
leer lcd kp in
leer sirene in
prox inleren

As you can see... Nothing close to "LEER ZENDER IN" :/

What a ^!*&(#^@#!)(@ thing is this!
The manual zebrafilm linked to is so wrong (old). It's not for the PowerMax PRO! (still thank you for helping)
I've managed (I think) to add the NEXT MCW (thank you Pieter), but now I keep getting a "GEHEUGEN PROBLEEM" warning, and a "Woonkamer sabotage alarm" message.
The NEXT MCW has been set to zone 10, and this is the "Woonkamer", but why the sabotage alarm? (I've closed the lid of the NEXT MCW).

Okay.. Getting closer now... The unit needs to be connected to a phone line to make it stop showing the "warning" problem.
I've got one NEXT MCW to work with the unit.. Many more to go..

Okay.. I get the following in the display.
GEREED 16:46 (the time)
GEREED GEHEUGEN
GEREED PROBLEEM
All this is blinking over and over again.
So.. I guess this is a message in memory.
I press the * and enter the "instalatie code" 9999
Now I see the message "GEHEUGEN". When I use the >> key I get "WIS GEHEUGEN", and when I press the >> again I get <OK> = UIT MODE.
Pressing >> again will take me back to "GEHEUGEN".
In the "GEHEUGEN" I press the OK button.
Now I get GEHEUGEN GEWIST, so I guess the that the geheugen is gewist. (it's not)
So.. now I press >> to go to "WIS GEHEUGEN", and press the OK button.
Now it's asking me <OFF> = WISSEN.
Where is the <OFF> button???

Back to "klaar om inteschakelen" pressing OK will give me a message "kantoor alarm in geheugen Z25" warning.
Also. The damn alarm keeps calling my mobile phone nr.

For now I've disconnected the power and battery.. This thing is driving me crazy!
Anyone near Almere who can help me setup this thing? I'm about ready to put it back in the box, and never touch it again.

The quality of the Visonic alarm panel is good, but programming it is another thing.
I can dream it, because I have the Powermax for a very long time now.
Today I bought a new one the Powermax plus, so i have to install again :-)
You need the clear the memory once you had a sabotage etc.
The OFF button should be on the panel, with clearly OFF on it :-)
The telephone line thing is also very strange, i managed to get it out but don't now how anymore.
Wish me luck as well.

ps: Digit gas also a new powermax :-)

Another tip: start small.
I put the Powermax on a table, installed the XM10, 1 MCT-302 next to it, no phone line and started playing with 'what happens if i ...' scenarios. I'll keep on doing that untill i get to know the Visonic and when i'm ready for it, i'll start learning all the other MCT302's, PIRs etc. So when it's completely installed and i get a message on the screen i'll know what to do.

Busy now programming
Getting the message "PTT Lijnfout" great message from ages ago :-)
still needs a telephone line initially, I don't want that!
Also getting the message "Memory problem" Did not even do a thing.
The firmware did not get any better, the Guy's at Visonic should do a better job on this.
I know the device works great otherwise......

re: The OFF button should be on the panel, with clearly OFF on it :-)
Are we talking about the same unit? I have a PowerMax PRO (on the back the sticker is showing PWRMAX PRO GAR (868)
If so, the unit I have must be a monday version.. NO OFF button anywhere!
I'll try to post some picks later.

@ Digit,
The beeping is also driving me crazy, and I'm about ready to put the unit in the skip.

re: start small.
Yes.. I've now been trying to add the 2nd NEXT MCW (the office one on Zone 25) for some time.
The unit is seeing it, but giving me a "kantoor alarm in geheugen Z25" warning.

On the PowerMax+ the OFF button is the 'disarm' button. The one with the open lock... It is probably the same on the PowerMax Pro

The beeping is probably caused by tamper alarms on the connected (learned, 'ingeleerd') sensors. You either have removed their housing or their battery. If you remove the battery from the sensor the Visonic will 'miss' the sensor. Make sure to keep the battery in it and neatly close the housing so that the tamper alarm does not go off. That should get you through the night [;)]

Good luck
