Halogen lights - adapter dimmable?

Post by DJF3 »

Hi,

My new kitchen has just been finished. There's 2 switches each with their own lights/adapters (left and right of the oven/hotplate.

The lights underneath the top cabinets are halogen, powered by this adapter:

(ET60f, 10-60W)

- Can I use (for example) an LM12 module to switch the Adapter on/off?

- If yes, can it also dim the lights? (don't think the adapter supports dimming by itself)

- If switching/dimming is not possible I'll have to search for LED spots and an adapter that can be dimmed using X10 devices.

Thanks
