wire thickness

Post by Alexander »

Just wondering. I've bought a Jung multi switch, but have trouble with all the elec. wires. In a housing for 2 Xanura DAIX (one in another housing), i've to have 4 phase wires, 2 null and 4 of signal wires from the DAIX's and two signal wires to the lights.

- one phase wire from the fusebox to the switch
- one phase wire from the switch to a DAIX
- one phase wire from the switch to a second DAIX
- one phase wire from the switch to the same switch (seperate phase lines in the multi switch switch from Jung (as a understand the figure on the switch, correct? or is it connected to each other in the switch)

- one null wire from the fusebox to a DAIX
- one null wire from the DAIX to the second DAIX

and the two wires from the DAIX each (white and purple).

Cause the thickness of the null and phase wires are so thick it's difficult or properly not possible to stay with these wires. I was wondering if the wires from the DAIX's (purple and white) are not think and can bend easily, is it a problem if i use small wires like those of the DAIX's to replace the phase and null lines ? The purple and white wires can handle 230V and 1,5A, so that should not be a problem right? Or any other ideas?

Don't replace the wires. It's better to put a "kroonsteen" at the end end put a little (10cm) flexible copper wire at the end so you can place that in the Xanura device. The Brown, Blue en Yellow/Green wire need to be 2,5mm2 and the black always 1,5mm2.
