I think you can just use a pmix35 instead, assuming that the modules in the house still are normal "working" modules.
Also dont forget the forum (in this part) is english.

Consider a home controlbox. A bit expensive perhaps but no PC needed and you write macro's also to switch light.

CIX is also a good device.
For the CIX there is no web interface.
It can run standalone with PC.

I know the interface is stand alone. But I want to read out all the modules in the house; dimmers, motion detectors etc. Is this possible with interface.
I also heared that there is a new version of the xanura software, can anyone send me a link where I can download the most recent version, it ain't on the Xanura website.
Thx

The CIX was the Eaton homecontroller before the Home Control BOX . The CIX has less functionality ....but it is possible to set up macros based on IF .... THEN logic.
You have to configure the CIX with all the A10/X10 devices in your home and creating the applications (macros) and you need to make a backup of this.
It looks like there is not such a backup file or documentation of all the X10 devices in your home. So you have to find out all your devices house coding and have to program the CIX.
It is possible to get a running domotica systeem based on this CIX but needs time / energy / know how.
Also you will need RS232 access on your PC (USB/RS232) .... an up to date firmware software is available somewhere or should have a look inside my archives or otherforum members. A PMIX35 will NOT replace the CIX.
Consider to replace the CIX with a HCB it will save you a lot of time (frustration) and providing you with more functionality and applications.

The PMIX35 and CIX are not equal, with a PMIX35 you can program, troubleshoot and analyse your modules. You can use it to readout your modules, not switching programs. The CIX is a friendly standalone unit, easy to program and for some purposes still suitable. I have a 'going on vacation?' setup for neighbours & friend, cix with few modules which they can borrow for their holidays.
Imho the HCB is a overpriced piece of hardware, I prefer a energy efficient windows xp device with homeseer.
you are correct about the software there are (at least) two versions of firmware and windows software. I will search for it @ home.
