Errors in measured usage
Several of my circles report more than once a day a usage of 0W while I am sure the devices connected to the circles are powered on, for instance the PC I am working on at that specific moment. I had an event configured in Homeseer to turn off the printer when all computers are off, however with the wrong reported usage my printer is turned off, turned on and turned off again.
It is not the Homeseer plugin causing this, the Source is reporting the same.
Has anyone noticed this before?
Rene.

Yes, I had the same. An event to switch of the plug of the pc when it's between 0 and 10 resulted in switching off the pc when working on it. So I changed the event for values between 2 and 10. It's not a real solution to the problem, but it works [:)].

If I hear something about this, I will post it.
This is the first time I hear this.

Since a couple of weeks I am using 8 plugwise divices, without any problems. But today I noticed the same as the topic starter. Between 17:00 and 18:00h today, 7 out of 8 plugs reported a usage of 0 kWh. At that time 2 computers, a stereo and a hot water boiler were running.

**joke** are you blocking data to bent send to plugwise ??
Errors in measured usage
Yes, that's why I use this forum to tell them what kind of "apparaten" I am using and when (see last post).....

(More serious answer: I read the discussion about that subject on this forum, and no... I will not block anything.)

I reported this annoying problem to plugwise like months ago, so it should not be new to them.
I have loggings of all my devices for more then 6 months and I see this happening with lot's of devices several times a day.
This is a big problem because it's reliable for events etc!
below a piece of logging where two clock radio's are full time on. Plugwise reports 0W for minutes and then it gets back to the current reading?
This goes for all my circles, hopefully this will be corrected soon!

Check this for realtime plugwise log and you see it happen:

It happened again last night, two hours in a row this time.
Total power measurement of my 8 plugs at night should be 0.5kWh every hour . Between 01:00-02:00h this morning plugwise reported 0.03kWh and between 02:00-03:00h 0.00kWh. AFter that things went back to normal.

that's correct. everyone had between 02:00 and 03:00 0.0 kWh

I just discovered that myself, tried to remove my message before anyone noticed... but you were to quick.
Edit: the 0.03kWh one hour before is still far too low.

One quick off topic question, does Plugwise not take Daylight Saving Time into account? I use a schedule to switch on and off some equipment, but it is switching at the wrong time since last Sunday (one hour late). Of course I can change the schedule, but just to be sure: is this the expected behavior?
Edit 01-02-2009:
I'm confused. For several weeks the plug was switching on at 16:30h and off at 23:30h. Since the start of Day Light Saving time last Sunday the plug switched on at 17:30h and off at 00:30h (one hour late).
Yesterday evening I created a new schedule to compensate for this time difference and applied that after midnight. According to the new schedule it should switch on at 15:30h and off at 22:30h. I expected the plug to switch one hour later than programmed, but it is switching exactly at the right time (15:30h). So it seems like making a new schedule did remove the one hour offset that was introduced when going to Daylight Saving Time.

You should send the schedules all again.
Just left click (in Schedules) on appliances (so you have selected all appliances) than click at the bottom at send schedules.
After sending the schedules again, they are working fine.

Thanks.
That is just one extra mouse click after changing all the clocks at home.
Is this the expected behavior? Will this be automated in some future version of the software?

@T-Rex, you don't use Homeseer or others?
Errors in measured usage
No, just plugwise plugs and Source software at the moment. Probably it will stay like this for the coming year(s), except for increasing the number of plugs.
These are my very first small steps in this "world".
