Beginner's questions

Post by ldborn »

I think I go for plugwise but I have a couple of questions. Can the cycle (in combination with homeseer and homeseer plugin) be a replacement for the x10 aplliance modules and lamp modules? When I replace an lamp module for a cycle then dimming is out of the question? How can I use the cycles to measure electricity use in the rooms where the light now are switched with mini switches (mounted behind the wall switch). In other words can plugwise measure total power use (for the whole house)

The plugwise circle can be a replace for some of the X10 switched as log the are not behind the switch. Keep in mind that control by hand is not possible with plugwise. Plugwise can not measure the complete power of your home, that can be done with rfxmeter form rfxcom.
