Garagepoort opener o.b.v. Z-wave

Post by abl »

We're considering to get our current garageport automated (as well as an automated fence).
Because I have already some Z-wave (Merten) devices, it would be nice to integrate also the port-openers as part of my domotica system.
What I can find on the internet is that there is not yet a European Z-wave garageport system available. I'm planning on running a homeseer based server and I was thinking whether there would be a solution to integrate the port openers into my system.
Can I for instance switch these port openers by 'jalouzie switches of Merten'?
The person that was here today for the ports said that it was also possible to send wireless signals to these motors but couldn't exactly tell at what frequencies (the motor he was talking about was the so-called City).
What would be the best option to go for, or is there another solution?

@Arno,

Haai se neet in de gaatu det ut hie un forum is wo se in un anger taal mos moellu? Zoog ut ierst in ut huilands en noe in ut ingels [:D]

For those who don't understand our dialect, the post was in dutch and was changed very quick into english.

The garage door and the fence could be done if there is a key-switch available for it, instead of those you can use the Duwi 05436. It can handle all output voltages.

But please be aware of the distance to your fence, if the lawn is the length of the Southforke ranch you will have problems with your signal.

You could use a Qees Ring to open and close both devices.

B.t.w. did you fix the problems with your screens?

Indeed, the Duwi could be an option... But does that mean that it is not possible to use the 'Merten Jalouzie Einsatz' and the sensor (would be nicer for the WAF to keep everything of the same producer). The person that is going to install the garageport opener looked at the description of the Merten devices and said that it maybe should work...

ps I wish it would be like a Southforke ranch; it's more like a petting (childs farm). [:)]

psps I did not manage to get all screens working; it kept me up almost 4 nights in a row... [xx(]

Ich mot al veul te veul in ut Ingels en Hollendsj moelu; missjie ins naodinke of vur dit forum in ut plat kinne goan umturne...[:D]

I think the problem with the Merten devices is the output power, you need 220V for the Z-Wave part of the node, the output will also be 220V.

This is easier with the Duwi node, it can operate with all voltages.

If I am in the neighborhood I can come over to have a look at the screen what is giving problems.
