I want to purchase some RFXCom.
Can you guys help me to fill my shopping cart?
What I want:
I want the LAN part, I want to be able to send and receive stuff.
I've got a few modified door sensors ( http://www.domotica.famschenk.eu/DS10A_op_433Mhz.html ), and I want to receive those signals.
I've got an Origin Scientific Bodyweight Scale, and I want to receive that data.
I've got some Elro appliance modules, which I want to be able to switch (and possibly more (different brand maybe) in the future for outdoor lighting etc.).
I want to retrieve everything except water on this page: http://www.bwired.nl/How_rfxcom.asp
And I want to program my own domotica system. I've lots of experience with TCP/IP and similar stuff. But I'm a bit confused, on the RFXCom order page they state: "Can only be used with the Homeseer RFXCOM plug-in or xPL!", does this mean it's an proprietary protocol? What's the reason for that?
For now I think I need at least:
1x 433.92MHz RFXMeter with 1 RFXPulse module and power supply Order code: 70095
1x RFXPulse module Order code: 70090
1x Reflective-Optical sensor Order code: 70091
1x Photo sensor Order code: 70093
1x 433.92MHz receiver for X10 and many other protocols. LAN (2 ports) Order code: 83003
1x 433.92MHz RF transmitter Order code: 70031 (This one has less protocols but doesn't say "Can only be used with ... ", why does the 89031 say this)?
Can anyone confirm?
And where can I get the protocol specs?
Thanks!

Please read this about the normal transmitter and RFXmitter: http://domoticaforum.eu/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=2729

So basically it's a "YES" as an answer to that question?Cariba wrote:But I'm a bit confused, on the RFXCom order page they state: "Can only be used with the Homeseer RFXCOM plug-in or xPL!", does this mean it's an proprietary protocol?
And I still need confirmation on my shopping cart

Cariba,
The shopping list is complete. I suppose you are going to use own written software? In that case the standard transmitter is OK.
The photo sensor can read a LED on the power meter if this emit visible light. If the LED is an IR LED you would need the reflective optical sensor and disable the LED in this sensor by disconnecting the 5V wire in the jack connector.
