I played for about half an hour with a cheap ip - usb server and an Aeon Z-stick.

The PC gets a virtual COM port. It worked fine.

But it is one of the many projects, that I will continue "in a little while". :-|

z wave and plugwise over the internet works fine with the program usb over ethernet on a remote computer with the z-wave aenon labs stick in it and the plugwise stick. it doesnt work with anywhereusb, lantronix ubox and belkin homebase. these last 3 devices work fine on a local network but not over the internet.

but still a simple usb to tcp/ip box would be preferrable because of the costs and energy consumption. still looking for the right solution for usb over internet.
