RFXtrx & linux

Post by WinuX »

I have a ubuntu desktop linux system
RFXtrx connected to the USB port.
When connected to the computer, dmesg say:

Code: Select all

[ 277.165286] usbcore: registered new interface driver usbserial_generic
[ 277.165324] usbserial: USB Serial Driver core
[ 277.187733] USB Serial support registered for FTDI USB Serial Device
[ 277.190247] ftdi_sio 2-1:1.0: FTDI USB Serial Device converter detected
[ 277.191256] usb 2-1: Detected FT232RL
[ 277.191293] usb 2-1: Number of endpoints 2
[ 277.191307] usb 2-1: Endpoint 1 MaxPacketSize 64
[ 277.191321] usb 2-1: Endpoint 2 MaxPacketSize 64
[ 277.191331] usb 2-1: Setting MaxPacketSize 64
[ 277.275704] usb 2-1: FTDI USB Serial Device converter now attached to ttyUSB0
[ 277.277598] usbcore: registered new interface driver ftdi_sio
[ 277.277634] ftdi_sio: v1.6.0:USB FTDI Serial Converters Driver
Started

Code: Select all

sudo mono rfxmngr.exe
RFXmngr does see the ttyUSB0 port, could connect establish connecting to RFXtrx, can't execute commands.

Possible something silly stupid, but can find what's wrong.

Have you set the baudrate correctly? Or it is permissions...

Baudrate is the same as in the windows machine.
What permissions do you mean?

Sounds like your RFX transceiver isn't booted right. Check the unit, if the red LED is solid (not blinking) , its in a boot state (check the quick manual that came with it). It's supposed to go from red->orange blink->no lights. Try another usb port or reconnect the cable.
