reach of RFXtrx433

Post by Fischi »

Hi,
I have found the problem, tha the reach of ma RFXtrx433 USB transceiver in connection with my oregon scientific sensors and marmitec remotes/door contacts etc.
is not so good.
Is the reach of the RFXtrxLAN higher than USB and is it possible to have multiple RFX transceivers (USB and LAN receivers) in one system or would be a collision there
to get the data transceive more securely ?

Regards, Fischi

The receiving range of the RFXLAN is a bit better.
Another antenna is officially not allowed because the RFXtrx is certified with the supplied antenna.
But you can connect for example a Conrad 433MHz ground plane 190073 to improve the receiving range, however this will also increase the radiated transmit power which is illegal so do not use the transmit function!
This adapter can be used for SMA- to BNC http://www.ebay.com/itm/BNC-female-SMA- ... 2a03ea8391

You can use multiple RFXtrx and or RFXLAN in Homeseer.
