SC-9000 alarm unit , keeping data

Post by drmacchi »

Hy everybody is there a way to collect data events from a sc-9000 unit? it doesn't have any output port, only the phone port to make emergency calls.any idea to keep data from that? otherwise something able to display status of x10 devices and events-alarms list?
bye. Lorenzo

i'm also prety new to Home AUtomation but i also have a sc9000 unit. It transmits a x10 signal on the powerline when the alarm is activated.
By default the settings are:
Status: b1
delayed activation: a1 /a2
when the alarm triggers a1 and a2 trigger + b2 for the external sirene.

You can gather this information via a cm11 or other pc module.

good luck

Use the RFXCOM receiver and monitor your devices (security, switching and sensors) with Homeseer. You can read the status from you devices on your computer screen. eg. last motion detected, when last door open/close etc...

Together with the new security device from marmitek (proguard800) you can also control your home with SMS. (using the GSM800 module)
Also check out the new sensors available.
Nice stuff !!

I'm interested about rfxcom, but i don't understand about the need on an (optional) slave receiver . what is that for? in the website is reported something about no problem on data handling, but when is necessary to have a master + slave receiver? just the buy to good one at first time[:)]thanks again. lorenzo

Hi Lorenzo,
In the RFXcom receiver there is place for 2 different receivers.
You can have:

<b>Receiver 1</b>
X10 lighting sensors and remotes,
X10 security sensors,
Digimax,
KlikOn-KlikOff (wall switches and remotes)
NEXA
Domia Lite
ELRO AB600
RFXSensor devices,
RFXPower & RFXMeter devices,
cent-a-meter Electrisave,
Oregon Scientific weather sensors,
ATI Remote Wonder.

<b>Receiver 2</b>
Visonic receiver 868 or 433 MHz
Or depending on which interface (LAN/USB) an RS232 serial interface.

There are different combinations possible, check this page
http://www.rfxcom.com/receivers.htm#60001

Dear Pieter thanks a lot for your very precious help! Then i have a question about proguard800, i see it has a wireless signal extender
..."<font color="red">Wireless Repeater RP835. Extends the range between the control panel and wireless detectors, eliminates problematic reception areas like attics, basements, cellars, separate garage, atelier or gazebo
Easily installed and aesthetically appealing
Registration and maintenance tests are performed using the plug-in LCD Programming Keypad PK836 (a comprehensive interface to the repeater)".....</font id="red">
That's the problem i have with sc-9000 since first usage day: a door sensor in the garage unable to communicate with sc-9000 because of distance. is there something sc-9000 compatible able to do that?
Best regards. Lorenzo
