For me the reasons to go for the Dune are:
- Sigma 8642 (more performance than 8643);
- good specs;
- fanless;
- Blu-ray player included;
- 1 gbit lan;
- form factor fits perfectly with other components;
- best looking player i've seen so far.

Blu-ray integrated : don't you think that it's a question point for the future ? i mean if BR technology will upgrade (it will) you have a closed system not upgradable while in 0ne-two years you'll get a better reader with a few bucks.

Why pay for a blue ray disk in the mediaplayer?
In my case I find myself never using any disk what so ever anymore.
I'm even gonna dump my harddisk DVD recorder because everything whats on the Dutch TV (or other) you can download in perfect quality and stripped of any commercials. If a good new series comes on Dutch television I only watch the first one, if it interests me I download the complete seasons in perfect digital or HD quality and watch whenever I want:-)
I now have the TVIX6500 which is capable of playing almost any format. I have connected to my network and its streaming (1GB) all the content form my Synology NAS which is running Sabnzbd (no local HD needed).
I'm think about buying an extra mediaplayer and I'm thinking about the new Popcorn C-200.
One tip: Don't be an early adapter of a new mediaplayer device, just what till the first user experiences are available!

Few weeks ago a tested the TVIX6500.
It's a nice player but will not play every format well.
I did some testing with blu-ray files..most of the time no sound.
TVIX6500 was one of the best playes for long time...used chipset need replacement...this will be done in the new on TVIX6600

There are a lot of sound settings you can make. For me almost every download is playing including large blue ray files sometimes larger then 40gb. But it's getting older and technology is going rapidly, so I'm looking for a new one and this one goes to another room:-)
