What do I need to measure temprature & power?

Post by I-1 »

Hi,

A few months ago I bought the LAN 2 port 433.92MHz RFXmitter for homeseer. (Item Number 89004)

I am using this in a successfull way with my Harison Curtains at the moment.

Now I want to measure temprature & power with the RFXPower & RFXMeter devices.

Does this mean I need to buy the:
- 433.92MHz receiver 2 ports LAN interface (Order code: 83003)
- 433.92MHz RFXMeter with 1 RFXPwr module 230V/50Hz (Order code: 70087)
OR
- 433.92MHz RFXMeter with 3 RFXPwr modules 230V/50Hz (Order code: 70088)

The RFX meter type will depend if I need the 1 Phase or 3 Phase.

For the temprature measuring I need the:
- 433.92MHz RFXSensor Type-3 with temperature sensor (Order code: 40066)
- External temperature sensor (Order code: 60010)

I can not (re)use the RFXmitter to measure power and temrature right?
And is the list I posted above a correct list or am I missing something?

Thansk,
Iwan

Hi,
I was just reading this on http://www.domoticaforum.eu/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1475

That if you have the LAN 433,92 Mhz Transmitter you have the option to have 2 receivers and 1 transmitter.
This means that I only need this right? --> 433.92MHz MASTER receiver module for X10 and others Order (code: 40071)
In order to use the RFXPwr & RFXMeter.

Am I correct?

Thanks,
Iwan

Please send configuration questions to support rfxcom.com.

You can order the 433.92MHz receiver module and insert that module in your 2 port LAN interface. When you order this receiver module you have to send an email to sales rfxcom.com that you need a Master version of the 80011!!!
http://www.rfxcom.com/receivers.htm#80011
Note: the 40071 cannot be ordered as 1st receiver. This receiver is only delivered for replacing an existing receiver module.

If you have a 3-phase system you need the 70088
http://www.rfxcom.com/sensors.htm#70088

RFXSensor:
http://www.rfxcom.com/sensors.htm#40066

wired additonal sensor:
http://www.rfxcom.com/sensors.htm#60010
or http://www.rfxcom.com/sensors.htm#60011
The accuracy of the 60010 is a little bit better but does not have the A/D sensor.

Ok I understand the Receiver part now and that I will need the Master version of the 80011 that will fit into my 2 port LAN interface.

I also understand the power measurement is done trough the 1-phase system (70087) or the 3-phase system (70088)

Now the Temprature stuff is a bit unclear for me.
If I want to measure:
- temprature
- humidity

I will need the http://www.rfxcom.com/sensors.htm#60066

Am I correct?

Now what do I need in total? if I want to:
- measure the temprature in room 1 within the house
- measure the temprature in room 2 within the house
- measure the temprature in the garden outside the house
- measure the humidity in room 1 within the house
- measure the humidity in room 2 within the house
- measure the humidity in the garden outside the house

Thanks,
Iwan

- measure the temprature in room 1 within the house
40066

- measure the temprature in room 2 within the house
add a 60010 (or 60011)

- measure the temprature in the garden outside the house
add a 60010 (or 60011)

measure temperature AND humidity:
- measure the humidity in room 1 within the house
60066

- measure the humidity in room 2 within the house
add a 60012

- measure the humidity in the garden outside the house
add a 60012

So when I want to measure temperature AND humidity inside (2 rooms) and outside
I only need 60066 and 2 x 60012.

Correct?
