New Zwave products from Fibaro
Re: New Zwave products from Fibaro
Poll is available for for every zwave device (excluding battery powered devices)
You don't want to poll all your device ever 5 seconds.
This will generate so much traffic in big networks that the response of all you device will slow down.
recording documentation you can associate device
If this is done device will report the status changes when changed. Like the Duwi ZWE devices.

Re: New Zwave products from Fibaro
First test result of the Fibaro Dimmer and the switch.
Modules are compact compared to Duwi.
PRO:
Small
Will fit behind existing switches
Modules works fine in Homeseer
CON
Lot of wires behind a switch It will be challenge for fitting it in 40mm
Homeseer Association for status update is not working will test this a bit more..Poll works fine(Documentation ,,,Groupe3 -> Homeseer)
3KW Switch will show 2 switches in Homeseer (must be 1)

Re: New Zwave products from Fibaro
Tane,
Do I understand correctly that the Fibero will fit behind a standard wall switch? (Apart from begin an installation hassle)
Did you try it yourself already?
Thanks
Olof

Re: New Zwave products from Fibaro
I have tested the Fibaro dimmer insert. It fits behind the standard switch, and it works fine with Vera2
Re: New Zwave products from Fibaro
]I guess the status push is not any better with Vera2? Or is it a homeseer specific problem?

Must be Homeseer, i have no problem with Vera

Re: New Zwave products from Fibaro
The modules will fit perfect behind the existing switches.
The auto status update looks like a homeseer problem..
I'm afraid that Homeseer is not going to solve this problem before Homeseer 3.0

Re: New Zwave products from Fibaro
I dont understand why you have this problem. Status update work 100% for me (.29 version of the HS2).
I tested right now an dimmer micromodule (3.20 (ZDK Version 4,52) App: 1.4)
When I make HS association to Group 1 - only status (ON or OFF) is available.
More valuable to associate HS to Group 3 of the dimmer module (This feature was spes. implementet for status update on Gateways and so on...). After this association you can see not only ON/OFF but also dimmer level status. Hope this helps.

Will test a new module...maybe it was a DOA. Status is stil not updated.
Also using version .29 of Homeseer.

Re: New Zwave products from Fibaro
Tane,
did you find time to re-do the push-update@homeseer-test with another module?
Since I would guess the first modules will have arrived with the end-customers this week, anyone else has experiences to share?

Re: New Zwave products from Fibaro
Status update is working fine.
You have to assign association group 3 to Device 1-Homeseer.
I got lot of positive feedback from the user about the possibilities of this devices.
For the dimmer you need a spacial switch so that you can dim the lights....the same one used for the Xanura line.
