Hello,

since 10 months i host an webcam at my website ( with vieuws on planets, the moon ).
but i am now intereseted for an streamed webcam on my website.

first i used a logitech quickcam zoom with Yahoo Live, but Yahoo live is still Beta, so no 24/7 streamed webcam.

so now i wanted an IP camera for this work, but i don't know wich to buy.

heard alot about the panosonic series ( BCL ).
but any ideas?
i was thinking around max of 500/650.
( this is view by Yahoo, but already above my streaming limit :( , www.astro-land.nu ), but i also want to host on www.astro-land.net/livewebcam.htm )

pan tilt, would be awesome ( zoom even better )

kindly regards, Erwin Kats

the nicer ptz (pan tilt zoom) camera's need a bnc connection of some kind, so you need a camera server then aswell. For 500/600 euro's you might be able to pull that off if you check the internet correctly. Those sony's evi-d?? could be for a nice price.

All i can tell you is that i am very pleased with my Sony EVI-D30 camera. It's not IP, but nevertheless worth having a look at. You can see it in action here:

next to that, the ports for sensor, i can use a IR sensor for it ( ''perretje? '')
and just 1 BNC in i see, could it be splitted or so , to 2?
and can i use otter cams with it?
sorry for the amount of qeustions
and next to that, what i don't see in the manuel, or on the webeye website, it means i can acces it with just in IP adres, like an IP camera?

kindly regards, Erwin Kats

P.S. voor de nederlanders onder hier, als in koop over ga, misschien iemand interesse om te helpen met opzetten van instellingen etc, voor een vergoeding?

cool,
i got around 15K of equipment outside the door during clear nights... so pretty risky.
the house is protected with 2 galxy's 60 panels , but video is always nice to have as extra. specially when i am for a few secs in house.

equipment, is just telescope, digital camera's, stuff like that.

you could put a fence with 230v on it.. if a burgler comes and he touches the fence he will first light up and then any camera will be able to see it.

and a camera would be a better sollution, if its not to expensive.

camera will give you nothing back..you need alerting system
most of the cameras has also build in motion detection...if there is motion they can send you a sms/e-mail.
