Post by Kroonen »

Hi,

Is the gas meter in holland always with the reflecting 6?? I can see it with my eyes??

I want to make for my elektricty and gas the same schema (van de draaistroommeter), the one in heino's boek, and than connect it to this one http://www.hobby-boards.com/catalog/pro ... ucts_id=42

and i want to read it with digitemp??

Is this going to work?

OK now I get you, mean can not instead of can :-)
Yes you should be able to see the little reflecting space right in the middle of the last digit 6. If you look closely you can see this very clear.
PS: please keep the topic in English.

It's possible, to bad for you, there are different meters used. Your meter could also be an old one. Perhaps there are members on this board who have the same Gas meter and made a solution.

Have someone tried Optical Meter Reader for Non Pulsed Water, Gas and Electricity Meters

http://www.futumeter.ie/optical-non-pul ... eader.html

I also don't have a mirror on the six or the Zero.

Best regards,

Hi Herbert,

I couldn't find prices on the link you mentioned, but let's just assume it's not cheap. Maybe you could consider getting another Gas meter. With a reflecting 6, or a Gas meter with a built-in pulse. I know, what i'm telling now is a very long time ago, but back in the very early 90's i purchased a Gas meter from a company called Instromet, located in Silvolde, NL. It had a pulse output and came completely with calibration certificates and all. You can see this gas meter here (notice the blue cable):

The complete package also included pressure meters, "rookgas" analysis stuff, to do efficiency calculations on Central Heating systems. The company still exists, so maybe just give them a call...
It's a long shot, but maybe worth a try.
